Chuck was initially buried in St. Patricks Christian Cemetery Tawau (see above pictures) but was later interred in August 2001 and he now lies in Cheras Road Commonwealth Cemetery in Kuala Lumpur.

Picture by Iggy (Roger Bliss) who visited the grave in Feb 2008 and laid poppies on behalf of family and friends.

Since this page was created, we have managed to get in touch with Alan's (Chuck) family in Aylesbury and Australia. After almost 45 years this was very emotional to all concerned. We hope to meet up in Australia later this year.  If you are interested in how the story continues come back soon when I will update this page.

Follow up (under construction)

Meantime, my thanks to Roger,Chris,Ron Rymer, Mick Sullivan and Bill Robson.

 Update  October 21st 2008

Apologies to people who have contacted me. I have been busy over the summer with other projects and am now finding time to play with the computer again.

We are only a few days from our trip to Australia, calling in at Kuala Lumpur to lay a Poppy wreath and a picture of his two "Girls" Edna and Karen on Chuck's grave.

Anyone who would like pictures, please drop me an e-mail and I will be happy to oblige.
